Little Loves
Friday, February 25th, 2005Little loves pass by,
Like pollen on the Spring winds,
Causing hearts to sneeze.
Little loves pass by,
Like pollen on the Spring winds,
Causing hearts to sneeze.
Awakened from a dream of thee, I cried,
To lose thy gentle touch upon my breast;
And thought, in Dawn’s cruel light, I might have died,
Torn coldly from your arms, and from my rest.
Then, day began to creep into my mind,
And dreams of love became a memory.
In Day’s bright glare, I could no longer find
A will to live, except in dreams of thee.
Oh Night, return me once more to my love,
Once more to lie beneath the starry sky,
While darkness drapes the earth and sky above,
And Night’s sweet arms enfold me where I lie.
In dreams, you shall be mine forevermore,
To hold, in dreams, ’til I pass through Life’s door.
Be still,
Within yourself,
Let not the chill of fear
Disturb this moment, as we love;
Be still.
Hold tight,
And I will sing
To you, with silent voice,
A song of love to comfort you,
Hold tight.
Gently,
While I touch you,
With my eyes, and my breath,
And my soul, hold me within you,
Gently.
Follow,
Do not fear me,
I am just the journey,
You are just the path I choose to
Follow.
Be still,
Within yourself,
And I will bring you home,
To a place where all your fears will
Be still.
Little dragonfly,
Touch the face of the lotus,
Then fly to the sun;
Life and loving fly quickly,
But leave within us, a joy.
Willow, shivering
In the wind before the storm,
I’m also frightened.
My arms can not protect you,
Nor keep my love from leaving.
