Lost Again
Friday, July 22nd, 2005I had a thought,
And shared it,
But the one I shared it with,
Dropped it.
Now it’s gone.
I had a thought,
And shared it,
But the one I shared it with,
Dropped it.
Now it’s gone.
Small flowers open
When sun and earth allow them
To find destiny.
So, parents must give children
The freedom to find themselves.
The moon rests lightly
On the pond’s sheltered water,
And on the still mind.
Flowers on the waves,
Words of love on rice paper,
Tears falling like rain,
And ashes spreading like clouds
As I say my last goodbye.
As the waves moved on,
Flowers and ashes left me,
Drawing from my heart
A love that had carried me
Until I could stand, alone.
Little
Things that happen,
When we let our guard down,
Conspire with the fates to bring us
Changes.
What we
Do with changes,
Whether we accept them,
Or deny them, determines how
We grow.
Even
Though we try to
Keep our dreams around us,
Tears erode dreams, as rain erodes
Mountains.
My life
Has had changes,
And tears enough, to wash
Even my mountain of dreams to
The sea.
